Eighteen year old Myla Lewis is a girl who loves two things: kicking ass and kicking ass. She’s not your every day quasi-demon, half-demon and half-human, girl. For the past five years, Myla has lived for the days she gets to fight in Purgatory’s arena. When souls want a trial by combat for their right to enter heaven or hell, they go up against her, and she hasn’t lost a battle yet.
But as she starts her senior year at Purgatory High, the arena fights aren’t enough to keep her spirits up anymore. When the demons start to act weird, even for demons, and the King of the Demons, Armageddon, shows up at Myla’s school, she knows that things are changing and it’s not looking good for the quasi-demons. Myla starts to question everything, and doesn’t like the answers she finds. What happened seventeen years ago that turned the quasi-demons into slave labor? Why was her mom always so sad? And why won’t anyone tell her who her father is? Things heat up when Myla meets Lincoln, the High Prince of the Thrax, a super sexy half-human and half-angel demon hunter. But what’s a quasi-demon girl to do when she falls for a demon hunter? It’s a good thing that Myla’s not afraid of breaking a few rules. With a love worth fighting for, Myla’s going to shake up Purgatory.

Holy Angels! when the Ink Monster publisher declare themselves as the "Kickers of Ass" they. Are. Not. Kidding. How come they just published two books and both of them are kick ass?! I would like to thank Ink Monster LLC for giving me a free pass for an awesome adventure inside the Purgatory.

Ok now review, Angelbound was amazing. Even from the start, you would've known that the main heroine was pure kick ass.

In the world of Angelbound, it wasn't just all about Angels and Demons. There are Quasis (half human, half demon), Thrax (Half human half angel), Scala (had all human, angel, demon blood inside him/her) and the Ghouls who rule over the Quasis. Quasis was a slave toward the Ghouls, Thrax are demon hunters that lives on earth but underground, and the Scala was the one, and only one, who could move souls to heaven and hell. This book was all about Myla, the heroine, finding her true identity while kicking lots of demon butts, and saving... everyone!

Quasis had one deadly sin (from the seven deadly sins) in their personality. Myla's sin was wrath, that's why she's a good fighter. I believe this is the first time someone succeeded in making something like a deadly sin sounds bad ass, so congratulations to Christina Bauer. As I said before, Myla is a fighter, an arena fighter to be exact. She's so bad ass that I just couldn't help shrieking and punching the air while chanting "Go Girl!" (I really did that). She might be reckless sometimes, but what's a character without any flaws? I would definitely want to be friends with Myla. And here comes the eye candy of the book! Lincoln! he's a Thrax, another McHottie (Every hot fictional guys should have 'McHottie' as their last name), and a really great warrior. I don't know what else to say about this guy, he's hot, powerful, and so damn sweet. God! why does he have to be a fictional character! every other characters was no less awesome, except for four ghouls with red robes and a certain girl named Adair.

Everything else about this book was wonderful! and I'm saying the truth. It was well written with a good portion of action and romance. Total page turner. I think I just fell in love with this book, maybe I'm angelbound with it, someone should check my eyes out and see if they really turn into angelic blue (If you read this, you'll understand).

You should definitely look forward for this book and read it ASAP. Don't look at the sequel's blurb though, I've looked at it and it turns out to be a spoiler. Now, it's time for me to jump in excitement for the next sequel! CANNOT. WAIT.

P.S. Christina, if you're reading this by any chance, please let me out of this misery and answer this question. I've been thinking about it since I started reading this book. Do you pronounce Cissy as 'Sissy' or 'Cheesy'? lol, I always question something unimportant. sorry.
