Jaque Pierce was just an ordinary 17 year old girl getting ready to start her senior year in high school in Coldspring, Texas. When a mysterious foreign exchange student from Romania moves in across the street, Jacque and her two best friends, Sally and Jen, don't realize the last two weeks of their summer was going to get a lot more interesting. From the moment Jacque sets eyes on Fane she feels an instant connection, a pull like a moth to a flame. Little does she know that the flame she is drawn to is actually a Canis Lupus, werewolf, and she just happens to be his mate; the other half of his soul. The problem is Fane is not the only wolf in Coldspring, Texas. Just as Fane and Jacque are getting to know each other, another wolf steps out to try and claim Jacque as his mate. Fane will now have to fight for the right to complete the mating bond, something that is his right by birth but is being denied him by a crazed Alpha. Will the love Fane has for Jacque be enough to give him the strength to defeat his enemy, will Jacque accept that she is Fane's mate and complete the bond between them?

Prince of Wolves are the types of book that confuse me. "Confuse me" as in "Should I rate this 5 or 1?" I know, 5 to 1 is far away. I mean I just can't decide whether I love this book or not, so 3/5 stars meant I'm in between ok?

This book is about Jacque Pierce, an ordinary 17-year-old girl. Or she thought so, until the Romanian hottie, Fane, moved as her neighbor. Then the story begins. Jacque and Fane can't deny the attraction between them (not like they are trying to deny it) and then it turns out that Fane is not an ordinary hottie, he's actually a Canis Lupis or werewolf and Jacque is his mate. But the world doesn't let them live happily as a mate just yet, Fane had to defeat a crazy alpha who claimed that Jacque was her mate.

I loved how this book was written even though I'm not usually fond of third person narrator. The pace was also cool. What I am against is the romance pace. In about three friggin' days two 17 year olds could actually exchange "I love you"s already! I mean who does that? well, I'm weirded out but I never had a hottie move to be my neighbor and claim that he was my mate, and I never felt that 'spark' so I don't know. Maybe that's a werewolf thing. I mean, I'm 17 and all 17 year old guys that I knew was still too childish for their sake (I'm not saying all 17 year old guys are childish ok).

But on the contrary, I actually liked Jacque. She wasn't the usual type of heroine that I love. She wasn't bad-ass, but she was likeable somehow... I don't know how to describe this, maybe it's because she's sarcastic that she amuses me. Her best friends Jen and Sally was totally cool, simply the type of peoples I wanted to befriend. You won't ask me about the Romanian hottie if you knew me. I almost always loved every male protagonists in a novel. Fane was hot, sweet, strong, and did I mention hot? I would love to hear him speak Romanian, that would be really hot.

A few points though, I would really want to know why the crazed alpha who is the-main-conflict-yet-I-don't-remember-his-name claimed to be Jacque's mate. I actually thought he was Trent at first (break up with Jacque because he turned into a werewolf and decided to change his name) but then it turns out to be a mere crazy guy.

I would probably read the next book. I'm a bit disappointed to know that it wouldn't be just about Jacque and Fane, though. I just hope it doesn't get too... crowded at the end. This is not fully a negative review ok, I would still recommend this to you who love werewolves, probably you would enjoy this better than me.
